6 Great Design Resources To Boost Your Artist Image
First of all, let’s list some resources to help boost your image. In the music industry of today, it’s not only about your music anymore. Industry professionals are focusing more and more on whether the act that’s caught their eye also has the appropriate image for the market that act’s music is targeting. Sure, you may have the sound needed to make you the new Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, 2Pac, or king of whatever genre you let your creative juices flow in, but if the same juices aren’t present in your image as well, then sorry, you’re just not the complete ‘cocktail’ they’re looking for.
Industry professionals are getting lazy and nowadays they’re all just looking for one thing: an artist or band with the complete package needed to make some easy money without much development needed. Thus, long story short: along with great music, you BETTER make sure that you have a great, original, eye-catching and above all, marketable, image to go with it!
Whether you’re looking for easy to use website builders, flash object builders, MySpace code generators, etc. or are looking for some great websites to learn how to up your own designing skills to create truly original and professional content, there WILL be something useful of interest to you below.

1. Wix.com: Wix is a great service to easily design your own flash objects such as websites, customized MySpace pages, custom widgets, e-Flyers, video skins and more. Their online program allows you to insert music players with your own songs, use customized animated menus, upload your own images and insert them into the flash object, animate them, use them in slideshows, and much much more!
Wix is completely free with a few features missing such as linking your creation to your custom domain name, though people can still visit it through the URL provided by Wix and is embeddable with a small ‘created with wix.com’ tag attached. They also have numerous premium upgrades, ranging in extra features and prices.
Check out my MySpace page to see one of my Wix creations. It’s designed primarily for FireFox though, so Internet Explorer users, don’t be surprised when it looks kinda peculiar – just update to FF!
2. BlueVoda Website builder: This is without a doubt one of the easiest to use website builders out there. With a wide array of tools and a very user friendly interface, you can quickly and easily create your own website with this program.

Though, if you ask me, this is completely worth it, especially since VodaHost is one of the cheapest hosts around for only $7.95 a month for a package that includes unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited E-mail accounts, A grade 24/7 service and the ability to host as many websites as you’d like on your hosting account, provided you do buy a $10 per year domain name for each website.
